Lindy Brown: Executive Director
Lindy began her career at Refinery in 2006 as a Group Fitness Instructor and maintains that role today, teaching an average of 4 classes each week. A degree and career experience in Marketing Communications awarded her a role as Marketing Manger for Refinery in 2007. She then moved on to become Executive Director in January 2008.
Lindy was recognized as a recipient of Central Illinois Business Magazine’s first “Forty under 40” business leaders in 2008. A fitness enthusiast at heart, Lindy’s passion for
people and exercise make it easy for her to love being a part of the Refinery team. “Refinery is not just a gym, it’s a community. We know that club membership
is a personal investment and we promise to deliver service, quality, and results that make our members’ investments worthwhile. These beliefs along with an outstanding staff and
facility have earned Refinery the title of Best Gym in East Central Illinois for both 2008 and 2009.”
Lindy is a lifelong resident of Champaign County. She serves as a Board Member for Mission 180 youth outreach as well as on both the Youth Vision Council and the Board of Directors of Emerging Community Leaders with United Way.

Jenny Redden: Group Fitness & Facility Manager
Jenny joined the team of Refinery in 2006 as a Group Fitness Instructor and quickly took on a role as Group Fitness Manager. With experience in all kinds of work and work environments Jenny is known as Refinery’s “jack of all trades”. She has a strong enthusiasm and passion for helping individuals establish goals and achieve personal success. Having participated in group fitness for over 20 years, Jenny believes the friendships made in class are the reason she has been able to maintain a healthy lifestyle and stay fit.
After her three children entered school, Jenny decided to make group fitness her career. Certified in Les Mills BODYPUMP and BODYFLOW, cycling, Pilates, yoga, Silver Sneakers Muscular Strength and Yoga Stretch, and the Drums Alive program, Jenny enjoys helping people of all ages and fitness levels find a program that works best for them. “Setting goals that are unobtainable and do not fit with one’s other commitments, leads to discouragement. Starting with an exercise program that is functional, leads to success and a positive feeling of self.”
As Facility Manager, Jenny is responsible for keeping Refinery running smoothly on a daily basis. Her experience and creativity are perfectly suited for overseeing our Group Fitness classes and have helped Refinery become known for having the best GF program in town!

Josh Cox: Member Accounts Manager
Josh has been a part of the Refinery team since before our doors even opened in 2004 and is easily one of the most recognized faces in the facility. During his tenure Josh has held the position of Building Supervisor and Member Services Manager. He currently serves as our Membership Accounts Manager, a role he has been in since January 2009. Like many other employees of Refinery Josh’s role expands beyond his office and into fitness as one of our group fitness instructors.
“The thing that I enjoy most about Refinery is the people. The members and staff make Refinery an amazing place both to work and to work out. I have worked in management at 2 other jobs and I have never been lucky enough to work with such an amazing, hard-working and dedicated team. I want people that visit Refinery to know that we are one-of-a-kind. The facility itself is gorgeous but we also have an environment that is unique and welcoming. You know that when you walk in the door you are not just a member but you are taking part of something special.”

Melinda Dragonuk: Personal Training Department Administrator/ Membership Specialist
Melinda became part of Refinery in the end of June 2009 as a personal trainer. By the end of the summer, she’d made a transition into working part time as a Membership Specialist and in November of 2009, was promoted to a full time role as Personal Training Administrator & Membership Specialist.
“The best thing about working at Refinery is that I get to push the limits – which I love to do. I push my clients to work harder, to give me one more rep. I push the business by helping to develop new services and policies. Refinery has been voted the BEST gym in East Central Illinois for the last 2 years and for us to keep that title we have to continue to push our expectations. I get the privilege of finding creative and innovative ways to do this!
I LOVE Refinery. Every gym is going to offer you treadmills and weights & a place to lose weight and get in shape. Not every gym is going to offer you a
community. Not every gym will be personally dedicated to making sure you achieve your fitness goals and have fun doing it. Refinery is a family and a family
cares for its members. I could have worked at any other place, but I chose Refinery. I work here for the same reasons our member’s workout here, because Refinery
is the BEST!”
A marathon runner at heart, Melinda says “I couldn't justify pushing others unless I was being pushed myself. I run marathons because 26.2 miles seems like an impossible distance and I have to prove myself wrong. Just like our members who invest in personal training, I invest in a coach because I can't push myself hard enough.”

Paris Seloover: Development Manager
Paris Seloover joined the Refinery team in May 2009. Although the majority of her time and effort is focused on managing our successful events department, Paris also serves in the gym in sales and business relations. Since coming on board she has developed programs to enhance corporate gym memberships including The Refinery Business Networking Group and the Corporate Wellness Program.
Her degree in Entrepreneurship/Small Business Management from Illinois State University and her 5 years as a business owner (She was the “Paris” in “Paris’ Boutique) has given her the customer service skills and business knowledge to cater to businesses and members. Not only does she enjoy selling memberships to “the best gym in east central Illinois”, Paris enjoys in participating in Cycling and Body Pump, her favorite group fitness classes!

Julie Christie: Member Services Manager
Julie began working at Refinery in March of 2007 as a part time floor attendant. She accepted a full time position as a Member Services Manager, her current title, the following November.
“Interacting with and meeting the needs of our members is the most rewarding part of my job. This is made easier by the great members at Refinery. The welcoming environment provides for a great workout experience!”
